I am a firm believer that confidence builds through practice. And most times, I am realizing it builds through the moments of self doubt.
As human beings, after we expand and shine our gifts, there is usually a moment that we ask:
“That person’s face looks sort of…angry, are they hating every word I’m speaking?”
The most beautiful thing about this, is that I have discovered it happens to everyone! I hear that even Oprah feels this! I’ve also seen some of my favourite authors on stage experience this insecurity. I’ve seen their abandonment wounds come forward when someone leaves, or they feel like people aren’t connecting to them.
It happens to all of us!
No matter how many circles or workshops I do, there is still a part of me when I am driving home in my car that wonders, “Was that okay?”
Online circles can be challenging too, as you turn the camera off and then…nothing.
I am sharing this today, because it is in these particular moments, the moments of wondering if you are making a difference, the moments of feeling anxious, the moments of doubt….
These are the moments that build your confidence!
It seems counterintuitive, but I have found it time and time again.
These moments stretch our soul. They are the ones that push us to dig deep and put ourselves out there again. These moments are the ones where we might want to give up, but we don’t.
We keep rising up to the call of our heart. The courage to keep going is within the whispers of our soul.

And we grow. Magically. Powerfully. Profoundly.
We grow.
It’s simply a choice. Do we let those doubts take over? Or do we use them as confidence builders?
If you are doubting anything today, I see you. I am rising with you.
